The British Embassy in Ankara is the main UK diplomatic Mission in Turkey.  The team working there, under the direction of the Ambassador, are responsible for all aspects of the UK Government’s relationship with Turkey.

 

The Consulate-General in Istanbul is the main passport and visa issuing office for Turkey, looking after the interests of British citizens resident in Turkey and offering advice to Turkish people who would like to travel to the UK. It is also a hub for trade promotion in Turkey and inward investment to the UK.

 

Our Honorary Consulates look after British interests in their local district and carry out a number of consular services.  Our regional trade offices identify local trade opportunities and liaise with the British Consulate-General in Istanbul.  Please visit the Regional Offices page for contact details.
