From Taksim Square walk down the pedestrianised Istiklal Caddesi following the tram tracks for around 10 minutes. When you reach Galatasaray High School on your left turn right into the entrance of Mesrutiyet Caddesi. Follow this road round to the left. You will see the wall of the Consulate compound on your right.  Walk along Mesrutiyet Caddesi until you come to the next corner on your right. Turn right, walk down and immediately at your right  you will see the Consulate gatehouse. The walk from Taksim Square should take around 15 minutes in total.
